250th Anniversary of Loudoun County
Two upcoming events to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Loudoun County:
On May 4-5 (Friday/Saturday), 9 am – 2 pm both days, the French and Indian War Encampment will be held at Claude Moore Park in Sterling.
On Saturday, May 19, 10 am – 5 pm, at the historic courthouse in downtown Leesburg. The celebration includes live performances, historical displays, and antique fire engines and tractors. The official ceremony begins at noon with the United States Army Fife and Drum Corps. Congressman Wolf, Governor Kaine, and other state and local officials are expected to attend.
